So-called "global" warming" is a danratherism. The high priests of the global warming religion have bought into the Marxian myth that industry is the tool of capitalism, and that therefore it must be evil. Lacking any evidence to show that industry is anything but beneficial to personal wealth and freedom, they feel the need to create "proof" of what they already know (despite evidence to the contrary) must be true.
Thus in the 1970s, when roofs were collapsing under snow loads and water mains six feet in the ground were freezing in the upper Midwest, the Marxists promulgated the delusion that "industrial pollution" was driving the earth into another ice age. As the earth warmed up again in the 1980s, they pandered the fantasy that industrial pollution was destroying the earth's ozone layer. Then, in the 1990s, as the warming trend continued, they seized on the chimera of global warming, which was being caused, of course, by industrial pollution.
Mental aberration does not necessarily connote stupidity, and the Marxist "environmentalists" are not stupid. They know full well that the temperature swings on earth are due to natural variations in solar intensity and that they have been going on for many thousands of years. But, like Dan Rather, their intent is not to educate you but rather to convince you of a delusion that they know in their hearts must be true – that industry is evil. In accordance with that goal, as the earth began its slide into the next inevitable cooling cycle in the 2000s, the Marxists subtly changed their pitch from global warming to global climate change, thus positioning themselves to take advantage of the current blizzards stretching from the first of October into May.
The source of All this deliberate mendacity is the false premise that industry is the tool of evil capitalism. Actually, as anyone even casually acquainted with history is aware, capitalism is the tool of industry. Capitalism didn’t even exist until the Industrial Revolution began in the late 1700s. Capitalism – the borrowing of money to buy machines to create wealth – was invented by industry to facilitate the boot strapping of mankind out of the slavery of feudalism. Far from being an evil entity in its own right, capitalism is simply one of the tools used by industry to create the cars and computers and jobs that provide us all with individual freedom and individual wealth.
