I tried to explain to her that I'm not a David or Charles Koch. I don't have millions of dollars to fight the Marxist-Socialist Fascism that is invading our Republic. I'm just an eighty year old retired engineer. But I am an eighty year old retired American engineer, and I can't just sit back and watch my Republic being destroyed by "enemies domestic." I can't sit on the beach and say, "There's nothing I can do about it." If we all do that, the bastards win. That's precisely what they want us to do!
But my German stubbornness, my Texas ethics, and my engineering training make it impossible for me not to try to right a wrong when I see it – particularly when it's a wrong against me!. I've got to do something! I know I'll never be a Thomas Paine, but maybe if I can ignite the fire of freedom in a few Americans, and they pass it on to others, the fire will grow.
We all have a responsibility as free men to protect and nurture our freedom so that we can pass it on to our progeny – as our fathers did for us. Meager as my contribution may be, I have to try to honor that responsibility.
My intent in these blog posts is not only to inform but to present new perspectives that may facilitate the struggle against the Fascism that is destroying my Republic. It's not much, I know, but it's all I have left at my age.
Please, if you think I'm doing any good, hit the comment button at the bottom of the page and let me know. If you have any suggestions for improving what I'm doing, let me know that too. And if you think my time would better be used practicing my guitar, let me know that as well.
Thanks. – G.E.
