Not only, however, is the President illegally legislating from the Oval Office (again), he is further weakening the already Obama-devastated American economy by destroying an estimated 230,000 jobs and by raising electricity costs by more than 50% across the country. And to what purpose? According to President Obama, it's to limit the production of "greenhouse gasses."
First of all, Mr. President, there is no such thing as a greenhouse gas. The greenhouse effect occurs when some material, such as glass, is transparent to short wave infrared (IR) and opaque to long wave IR. The short wave IR comes through the material and heats up the interior, which in turn radiates IR of all wavelengths. The long wave IR, however, can't get back out through the greenhouse material and is reflected back, keeping the interior warm. This is not what Carbon Dioxide does.
Carbon Dioxide absorbs the IR radiated by the earth after the sun goes down and re-radiates it back to keep the surface of the earth warm at night. But so does water vapor – and water vapor is 2 percent of the atmosphere compared to only .04 percent Carbon Dioxide! To suggest that .04% Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere is overriding the effect of 2% water vapor is ludicrous and demonstrably untrue. It is certainly not, as it is claimed to be, scientific.
The scientific fact is that our sun is not stable. It waxes and wanes over short term and long term cycles. Climate change, as every scientist knows, is not new. It has been going on for at least the last 750,000 years, during which time the sun has cooled down to the extreme extent that much of the earth was covered with ice – eight times!
We know that there have been eight separate glacial periods in the last 750,000 years, followed by eight interglacial periods – the last of which we are in now. And we know that in another 10,000 or 15,000 years, the sun will cool again and the glaciers will come again.
To fibrillate over minor solar radiation variations within the current interglacial is just plain silly. And to suggest that these naturally occurring variations are caused by human activity can only be perceived as political exploitation of the public's unfortunate ignorance and unwarranted egotism.
In short, climate change is a naturally occurring event that has been going on for millions of years. Anthropogenic climate change, on the other hand, is a blatant lie. And to knowingly induce human suffering for no other reason than to propagate a lie, Mr. President, is a crime!
"No matter if the science of global warming is all phony ... climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world." – Christine Stewart, at the time Canadian Minister of the Environment
