During his tenure at Columbia in the early 1980s, Barry Soetoro (AKA Barack Obama) was exposed to the Cloward and Piven strategy as well as to the two professors in the flesh.
Inane as the Cloward and Piven concept is, it has been adopted as the primary governing objective of the President of the United States. If you doubt that President Obama is naive enough to actually believe that such a preposterous proposition could possibly work, just look at the evidence.
He has increased the number of food stamp (i.e. drug stamp) recipients by over 70%, from 28 million to 48 million (one out of every five American households). He even has ACORN hawking food stamp applications on the street.
He has spent taxpayer money to print and distribute in Mexico Spanish language guides to applying for welfare in the United States.
He has, in defiance of Congressional action, directed DHS to suspend deportations of foreigners who are in the United States illegally.
He has ordered DHS to release illegal aliens convicted of felonies into American communities.
He has deliberately spent the United States into virtual bankruptcy in order to facilitate a financial collapse.
He has encouraged States to legalize marijuana in order to produce more pot heads who are (like the President himself) incapable of holding a meaningful job.
He has directed the EPA to attack and destroy profitable and financially sound industries such as coal mining and oil production in order to create more recipients of federally funded unemployment payments.
He has advised governments in Central and South America that the United States will be receptive to any children they might want to send here, resulting in a flood of 90,000 un-accompanied children inundating the Texas border, overtaxing ICE and the three military facilities where they are being temporarily housed, and (as a bonus) offering the President a chance to dump some of them in Arizona as retaliation for Governor Jan Brewer's shaking her finger at him.
There is no conceivable reason a President would want to deliberately overload his country's welfare system with thousands of parentless illegal immigrant children – unless he's pursuing a Cloward and Piven strategy!
In short, the President has done everything in his power to increase the welfare rolls and at the same time to reduce the ability of the federal government to effectively support the additional financial load. This is classic Cloward and Piven.
The fatal flaw in the Obama, Cloward, and Piven plan for nationalizing the economy is, of course, the little fact that the government has no money – and no way of making money! Everything they give to the non-productive private sector they must first steal from the productive private sector. If you make everyone wards of the state, there is no productive sector and hence no wealth to distribute – and the "economy" will quickly deteriorate to a North Korea style non-economy.
Of course, you wouldn't expect an Economics benighted, pot impaired featherbrain like Barack Obama to be aware of that obvious fact.
Or maybe – just maybe – that's what the people who put the Puppet-in-chief in the White House want?
