The Thad Cochran theft of the Senate primary race in Mississippi is a national disgrace. Henry and Austin Barbour broke numerous laws in illegally using Democrat cross-over voters, in outright buying of votes, and in other nefarious activities of which we are not yet aware.
If they had used these illegal tactics against a Democrat, it would be a scandal unworthy of the Republican Party. To have used them against a fellow Republican, Chris McDaniel – and a Republican whom the legal voters clearly preferred – is indicative of a deep and dangerous cancer within the Republican Party.
Since Henry Barbour is a member of the Republican National Committee, I assume you were aware of this dastardly plot, if not complicit in it. If you value the prestige of the RNC, as well as your own reputation for integrity within the body of Republican voters, you will declare the June 24th runoff race null and void.
As pointed out in the article Guns, Opportunity, and Principle, we (small r) republicans were here long before the Republican Party, and republicans will still be here years from now – whether or not there is a Republican Party.
