"Where there’s smoke, there is somebody blowing smoke."
Things don’t happen by themselves. If there is racial dissension, somebody is fomenting racial dissension. If there is income disparity dissatisfaction, somebody is promoting income disparity dissatisfaction. If there is hatred of Christians, somebody is inciting hatred of Christians.
The fabric of republican society is a tapestry of harmony. Republicans are quite content to live their own lives and to let their neighbors live theirs. Whenever there is a disturbance in that fabric, it is an anomaly created by anti-republicans – usually for the purpose of destroying the republic.
Much of the smoke being blown is coming from the federal government. The motto of our republic is E Pluribus Unum, from many, one. The motto of the anti-republicans is E Unum Plures, break the one into many. You can’t conquer the people without first dividing them.
Occupy Wall Street was a government initiative to drive a wedge between the rich (those who work and sacrifice) and the deliberately poor (those who loaf and sponge). Furguson Missouri was a federal government orchestrated attempt to drive a wedge between whites and blacks. The birth control mandates of the Unaffordable Care Act are a wedge between religious America and secular America. E Unum Plures
The is no racial problem in the United States except as invented by Washington and by opportunistic racist extremists like Al Sharpton. There is no class warfare in America except that engineered by our federal government. There is no war Against women in the United States except that pandered by the Obama regime. And there is no anti-queer sentiment in the United States except that manufactured by Barack Obama and other homosexuals. E Unum Plures.
Then there are the self-styled guardians of our welfare, from eco-freaks to atheists, who are intent on converting all of mankind to their own warped views of reality. But they’re all just blowing smoke. There is no climate crisis. There is no Christian plot to offend people. There is no health hazard in breathing coal smoke and no possibility that we will run out of oil within the next two centuries. It’s all smoke, along with ozone depletion and acid rain and global cooling and over population. All smoke. No substance.
So the next time you smell smoke, ask not where is the fire. Ask instead who is blowing the smoke.
