Russia is more than aware of the situation outlined in my blog of last Thursday, 25 September – they are actively involved in it. They are, as I pointed out, Assad's banker, and Assad is supporting Russian ally Iran by furnishing them finished petroleum products.
And Russia is not stupid. If I could figure out that Obama was shipping arms from Benghazi to Syrian rebels to aid in the overthrow of Assad, and that iSIS is operational in Iraq, not Syria, I guarantee you Russian military intelligence is aware of those facts.
Furthermore, Vladimir Putin has announced his intention to destroy the petrodollar system that has shored up the US dollar for the last forty years. On Thursday 14 August, speaking in Crimea, Putin said that Russia should aim to sell its oil and gas for rubles globally because the dollar monopoly in energy trade was damaging Russia's economy. "We should act carefully," he said. "At the moment we are trying to agree with some countries to trade in national currencies."
"We should act carefully." Putin is obviously aware that the international games currently being played are pushing the world closer and closer to the brink of another world war. I doubt very much that Sam Snead Obama is capable of that degree of awareness.
And the real tragedy for America is that, at this critical time, Obama has decimated the US military and has demoralized those that are left with combat-zone pink slips and deliberate negligent homicide of veterans.
