Are these people serious? Are they sane? Has the anti-gun hysteria in America reached the point that the government is creating a black market in water pistols?
My advice to the liberal nerds who promote such nonsense is to find some other project on which to waste their time. Get over it, dummies! Guns are a fact of life. You are not going to change that by trying to brain wash children with the fantasy that guns are evil. Children are just not going to buy it. They're not as stupid as you are.
Guns are here to stay. They re not going to go away no matter how hard you wish it. In fact, your inane antics in the attempt to obviate that fact have had the effect of escalating the number of guns in the hands of American citizens.
Guns are fun. It's fun to go to the range and burn up a box of 9 millimeters. Furthermore, guns are useful. Every 16 seconds, an American citizen somewhere in the United States uses a gun to thwart a crime. Twice as many criminals are shot by private citizens every year as by police officers. And so far as gun accidents are concerned, eleven times as many people are "accidentally" shot by police officers as by private citizens.
And the so-called Second Amendment was not put there to assure the colonist the means of sustenance on the American frontier, nor (as one disinformed US Senator recently contended) to provide them the means to fight the British. The Second amendment (to the Constitution of 1787), along with the other nine, was added by James Madison in 1789 (six years after the end of the war with Britain) for one reason – the States refused to ratify the Constitution of 1787 without specific restraints on the powers of the federal government. In other words, the Second Article of the Bill of Rights was put there because the States demanded the means to protect themselves from their own government.
In the final analysis, guns are not only inevitable and useful, they are necessary. The only question posed by the panic promoting anti-gun zanies is, "Who will be allowed to have them?"
