Following the Council meeting, the crowd of about 300 continued to demonstrate in the building for a half hour. They then spilled out into the street, where they shut down several intersections and marched to the Justice Center, where they were met by a cordon of Clayton police officers.
This was obviously not a spontaneous outburst of violence. It was orchestrated and produced like a stage play. Someone mustered these people and transported them from Ferguson or other cities to Clayton – someone who knew when the County Council was scheduled to meet and how to organize a mob to disrupt a meeting.
Two of the known organizers were Anthony Shahid and Zaki Baruti, but for whom are they working? Who stands to benefit from prolonging and stoking the Ferguson fury? Al Sharpton? Certainly. But let's ask another question.
Who benefits from the divisiveness and diversion of Ferguson and has the knowledge, expertise , and money to successfully create civil disobedience?
Where there's smoke, there's someone blowing smoke.
