"I am starting to think that there is something seriously wrong with President Obama's mental health. Why won't he stop the flights. Psycho!" 3:23 AM - 16 Oct 2014
Indeed, Mr. Trump is not the only one to question the President's mental balance of late. Prominent News personalities from Sean Hannity to Michele Malkin – and even members of Congress – have been clamoring for a ban on commercial flights to and from West Africa. Wait. Members of Congress?
The Congress of the United States has the power to impose a ban on foreign air travel. Why don't they just do it instead of hounding the President about it? Could this be just play acting for the benefit of the Gullible public? Could there be something else at play here?
The consummate politician Frank Roosevelt once said, "in politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happened, it was planned that way."
Now keep that maxim in mind while I relay another insight – one that my Daddy taught me when I was still quite young.
"if someone's behavior seems irrational, it's because you don't understand their rationale."
People do not, as a rule, act stupidly. Like all animals, they have survival mechanisms hard wired into them by billions of years of evolution. It is virtually impossible for them to act contrary to those instincts, It follows, therefore, that if someone is carrying out a plan that seems to you to be counterproductive, it's because their objectives are counterproductive to your objectives.
Could it be that Obama's aberrations are not mentally but motivationally induced?
So what are the possible objectives Obama could have for acting counterproductively to the interests of the American people in this instance? Obama studied under Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven at Columbia University, and he has applied their strategy to try to collapse the welfare system by overloading it. Obama also imposed Obamacare, a plot designed to collapse the insurance industry in the United States so the federal government could rescue us with government insurance (and control).
Could it be that Obama sees the Ebola threat as an opportunity to hasten the demise of the American insurance industry and, at the same time, to overload the health care system so he can nationalize the entire medical segment of the economy?
Do you have any other reasonable explanation for what we are seeing?
