Similarly, if you believe the Perception Control (PC) propaganda that Islam is a religion of peace, then you must also believe, along with the President, that the terrorism being practiced by Muslims such as ISIS is not Islamic. And you must believe that a Major Nidal Hasan killing 13 soldiers and wounding 32 while shouting "Allahu Akbar" must be an incident of "workplace violence." It certainly couldn't be terrorism because Islam is a religion of peace.
Another example of this type of thinking is exemplified in the anti-gun hysteria sweeping our schools. Children are being suspended for drawing pictures of guns, for chewing pop tarts in the shape of guns, for forming their fingers in the shape of guns, and for simply using the word "gun" in verbal conversation. In one case, a deaf child named Hunter was told he had to change his name because the sign language representation of his name looked like a gun!
These are all manifestations of the kindergarten concept that "If you just close your eyes tightly enough so you can't see it, it'll go away." If we just refuse to call it what it really is, then it won't exist. This sort of thinking is not only childish, it is counter-productive. If you don't address black racism for what it is, then more white babies are going to be shot in the face. And if you refuse to admit that Islam is a cult of death, then you are going to see more and more senseless deaths committed by Muslims.
Furthermore, the denial of the existence of observable objects and phenomena is symptomatic of a deep mental disturbance. What people say may be the result of any number of factors – from ignorance and propaganda to greed and maliciousness and even simple brain flatulence. But what people refuse to say is extremely revealing psychologically.
Denial is a refusal to face reality. It's curling up in a fetal position with your thumb in your mouth because you are afraid to act responsibly. It's escaping to the golf course to avoid facing the demands of your job. This is a debilitating condition in any human. In our leaders, it is a fatal flaw.
