Such preposterous claims were not then and are not now worthy of comment, but the situation serves as a lead-in to an investigation of what's happening in America today. We are witnessing case after case of designed obsolescence – instances where the government, for one reason or another, has deliberately designed a system to fail.
The most recent example is the so-called "war" on ISIS. To launch puny and pre-announced air strikes on a fluid and widely dispersed enemy – whose "infrastructure" consists of AK-47s, grenade launchers, and other weapons totally contained on their persons – is to guarantee defeat. And military commanders have recently gone on television to say as much. Yet the administration persists in its refusal to pursue a meaningful campaign against this enemy. For whatever reason, this operation is obviously designed to fail.
Another example fresh in our minds is Solyndra, a supposed "green energy" company founded by a group of Obama campaign contributors who received over half a billion US taxpayer dollars in "loans," then folded the company and walked away with the money. Obviously, Solyndra was an operation designed to fail.
A more ominous example is Obamacare. It has been admitted by persons within the Obama administration that Obamacare was never meant to endure. It's only an interim measure designed to drive insurance companies out of business so the government can "rescue" us by forcing us to buy government "insurance" and submit to government control of our health care decisions. Obamacare is obviously an elaborate system designed to fail.
Finally, there's the 2012 Republican presidential campaign. To run a Mormon and a Wall Street one per center against America's first black president in the current political climate is a recipe for certain failure. And I can't believe the Republican Party oligarchy could have possibly thought otherwise. I don't pretend to know why (though the cui bono finger points to George Soros), but the Romney campaign was obviously an engineered debacle – designed to fail.
We have only two years to do something about the cause of that failure.
And what about Obama? Did George Soros design the Obama administration to fail? Or is Barack Obama simply, like Jimmy Carter, intellectually predestined to fail?
