“To be very, very honest with you, the South has not always been the friendliest place to African-Americans. It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a positive light as a leader. It’s not always been a good place for women to be able to present ourselves, it’s more of a conservative place.”
And there you have it, folks. If the President's misguided initiatives are unpopular, it's because of race. And if Senator Landrieu loses this election to a Republican, it will be because of sexism.
To the liberal mind, there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with their policies. Therefore, if they don't succeed, it must be because of something else. It could only be because people are unfairly biased against them because of their gender or their skin color or their religion (John Kennedy), or some other characteristic extraneous to the consideration of their flawed philosophy or their demonstrable incompetence.
This is the same hackneyed plaint we hear from underperforming third grade students: "My teacher doesn't like me." And it stems from the same source – immaturity. Liberals are simply not grown up enough to face their own failures and shortcomings. They can only whine like school children that "The other kids are always picking on me."
Liberals will not change – because they cannot. They just never grew up. Our only salvation is to elect adults to office – starting Tuesday.
“The President’s policies ... are unpopular in Louisiana, and the other 49 states, because they are ill advised, liberal, and don’t work out here in the real world. And his administration has also proven to be incompetent. Trying to blame it on race is ridiculous.” – Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana
