But they are not women!
Fortunately, I have been blessed with the inherited intelligence and personally developed perspicacity to comprehend that critical differentiation. I'm smart enough not to treat men like women and observant enough not to confuse women with men. I like women – sometimes even more than men.
But they are not men.
There are many things I would do to or with a woman that I would not do to or with a man. And there are many things I would allow a woman to do to me that I would not allow a man to do to me. Because I recognize that there is a fundamental difference – an essential, functional and biological difference – between men and women.
And I recognize that I am a man. And I know that I have a responsibility to the species to act like a man.
I understand there are some – comprising less than 2% of the human population – who have trouble making this distinction. Whether they are male or female, they are apparently incapable of differentiating between their own sex and the opposite sex. Their debility does not, however, eliminate the distinction or its fundamental purpose.
Nor does it compel me to ignore that distinction.
About 7% of the male population of the United States cannot distinguish between the colors of red and green. That fact does not necessitate the abandonment of traffic lights. Red is still red and green is still green, and the majority of us normal people can not only tell the difference, but we use the distinction for useful purposes.
Nor do I need to know (unless I'm hiring you for a job in manufacturing or repair of telephone cable) that you are red-green color blind. And frankly, I don't care about your affliction. If it doesn't concern me, I would honestly prefer that you just keep it to yourself. I'm sorry that you have an identification disability, but it's not my problem.
And I feel the same way if you have trouble telling women from men.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't really care what you queers do behind closed doors. But for God's sake, please show enough respect for the feelings of decent people to keep the doors closed!
