Sally grew up in an affluent, liberal, and activist home atmosphere. She obtained a degree in psychology from Washington DC's George Washington University and, in 2002, received her JD from New York University School of Law. She also has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Kohn has served with the Center for Community Change, the Third Wave Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force policy Institute. She has appeared on MSNBC and on CNN, and has written for the Washington post, USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor, the Nation, and the Huffington Post.
Sally Kohn is a lesbian. She and her domestic partner Sarah Hansen, an activist and consultant, live together with an adopted 6 year old girl in Brooklyn New York.
And Sally Kohn is a shining example of liberal cluelessness.
On the 7th of May of this year, Kohn apparently forgot her wallet on the way to work or to a morning appointment. A kindly subway attendant graciously let her on the subway for free. His largess could not possibly have been a response to her beauty – Sally Kohn bears a striking resemblance to Sylvester Stallone – and must have been a reaction of pure compassion for a fellow human being in an embarrassing situation.
Sally Kohn, however, steeped in the blindness of liberal dogma, saw a different motive. At 8:32 that morning she tweeted:
Forgot my wallet. MTA officer let me on subway for free. #classprivilege #whiteprivilege
Will the liberal mind never cease to amaze us? Their reactions to everyday experiences – experiences that intrigue, amuse, and delight us normal people – are pigeon-holed by liberals into neat little compartments pre-fabricated by their quixotic weltanschauung. Windmills are giants, friars are enchanters, Inns are castles, and kindly subway superintendents are rabid racists.
This level of disengagement with reality is almost incomprehensible to those of us who use logic and common sense rather than ideology to guide our lives, and we are tempted to blame the Sally Kohns of America for what we naturally perceive as their overt stupidity. In doing so, however, we may be drawing a bead on the wrong target.
Sally Kohn is not smart enough to make this stuff up on her own. She is simply parroting the bull scat she's been fed by her parents and by the so-called educational facilities that have indoctrinated her for the last 38 years. Sally Kohn is not evil. She is a victim of the Perception Control (PC) environment spawned by those who would confuse us in order to steal our wealth and our freedom.
The problem is not that Sally Kohn isn't smart enough to recognize bull scat when it's thrust under her nose. The problem is that the bull scat is being thrust under her nose, and under the noses of millions of other Sally Kohns. And it's being thrust under our noses.
But some of us are from Texas, and we know bull scat when we smell it.
