And the nonsense narrative that "the whole thing was Geller's fault" has been resounding in the echo chamber of the Misplaced Sensitivity Media (MSM) since Monday morning. Even such usually staunch bastions of freedom as Greta Van Susteren and Bill O'Reilly have wavered before the Perception Control (PC) hurricane stirred up by Pamela Geller's "Draw Mohammed" cartoon contest.
O'Reilly opined on air that “insulting the entire Muslim world is stupid,” and Van Susteren worried that Geller had endangered the lives of police officers. (Apparently, Greta was oblivious to the fact that it was clearly the would-be jihadist's lives, not police officer's lives, that had been foolishly endangered – and not by Pam Geller but by the would-be jihadists themselves.)
Only Megyn Kelly, of the whole stable of vaunted FOX News patriots, stood tall and strong against the Perception Control onslaught, rebutting O'Reilly with, "The relevant question isn’t whether they said something offensive, but what do we want to do about a group that wants to kill us.” Megyn further commented, “Even if you hate her (Geller's) message, she was promoting free speech,” and “I’m concerned about the America you would have us live in.”
Why are Americans, even ostensibly informed and concerned Americans like Bill O'Reilly, so seemingly anxious to forfeit our rights – rights that so many of our forefathers bought for us with their blood – in order to avoid "offending" people who believe they have a divine commission to behead and burn alive as many of us "infidels" as they can?
offensive? You want offensive? Think of how offensive it is to have a laughing Muslim brandish the freshly severed head of your son in your face and giggle, "You're next, Christian dog!" What could be more offensive than to be doused in gasoline, shut in a cage, and set of fire, feeling your face blister and then char while your brain is still alive and silently screaming inside your skull.
And it is the inhuman fiends who perpetrate these horrors that Bill O'Reilly is worried about "offending?!!"
Make no mistake, America, O'Reilly is wrong. Radical Islam is a redundancy. And moderate Muslim is an oxymoron. The mere fact that a Muslim has not personally beheaded anyone does not make him "moderate." He or she is still a Muslim, and Muslims are constrained by their "religion" to subscribe to and to support the teaching – enshrined in their holy book the Koran – that it is the duty of all Muslims to kill non-Muslims until only Muslims remain in the world.
This is a fact! And it is the recognition of that obvious and amply demonstrated fact that differentiates an aware and concerned Megyn Kelly from a Perception Control (PC) brainwashed Bill O'Reilly.
Pamela Geller was not "inciting" violence, she was responding to it. And she was responding in the way that all Americans must always respond to the threat of violence to our freedom – by overtly exercising that freedom.
Americans are not a people who are easily frightened. If you try to scare us out of our freedom with threats of violence, we will call your bluff – and we will win. It's not the threat of violence that worries me, but the complaisance of people like Bill O'Reilly.
If American freedom ever dies, it will not be killed by fear. It will be sacrificed to convenience.
