There's little we can do to reform our universities, where "academic freedom" trumps the truth. Academic freedom is a Perception Control phrase for academic license. It means license to substitute discredited and unworkable social fantasies for established and demonstrable facts. It means license to replace pragmatic education with sophistries designed to suppress critical thought and stimulate emotional reaction.
Academic freedom, in other words, means Socialistic indoctrination. Since we have little chance of changing the Socialistic complexion of American academia, our only hope is to educate our children to reject such claptrap when they hear it. And that means discrediting Socialism in our schools and in our homes.
If you have children or have access to someone else's children, make sure they know such things as that Socialist North Korea's GDP of only $30 billion is a mere 2.3% of Capitalist South Korea's GDP of 1.3 trillion. These are the same people – same language, same culture, same DNA – the only difference is the rich Koreans are Capitalists and the poor Koreans are Socialists.
Capitalistic Sony Corporation makes $40 billion a year, and they do it with only 141,000 employees. It took Socialist North Korea 170 times more people – 24 million – to make a paltry $30 billion. In other words, the per capita GDP of Sony was $285,714 while that for Socialist North Korea was $1,250 – a ratio of 228 to 1!
We've got to arm ourselves with such facts and use them to educate our kids and to correct their teachers. in fact, we've got to point them out to anyone who will listen. And when they say that Cuba's dismal GDP of $68 billion is because of its dictatorial government, thank them for making your point. Socialism means government control. It cannot exist without government control.
And that's why it's being taught to our kids and to their teachers – not for its touted humanitarian benefits, but to condition our kids to accept government control. If Common Core is being implemented in your State, fight to get it removed. Pressure your State representatives. Write letters to your local newspaper. Sound the alarm wherever and however you can, but keep sounding it until you get Fascist indoctrination eliminated from your schools.
Study the Constitution of the United States. It is the law of the land, and it is our defense against government tyranny. Teach your kids and any kids with whom you come in contact the history and most importantly the content of the Constitution. Make sure they understand what the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments in particular say and why they were written. They are no longer being taught these things in school, and it is critical to a free republic that every citizen knows them.

We've got to get the word out: Socialism doesn't work – Capitalism and republicanism do. Our life depends on it.
