Polititution is an insidious but widespread form of pollution. It pollutes the news media with lies and selective censorship. It pollutes the halls of government with graft and egomania and blatant stupidity. It pollutes the entire nation with divisiveness and economic ruin and international disaster. It even pollutes the self-correcting institutions of Capitalism with corporate greed and fiscal incompetence.
One of the most dangerous areas of rampant polititution is academia. In the field of Economics, for example, the Milton Friedman Chicago school of free market exceptionalism is being replaced by the MIT school of economic subservience to a Communistic state, the latter championed by such political pimps as the New York Times’ Paul Krugman. In the field of education, our future teachers are being inculcated with gender identification fantasies and with collectivist claptrap that does not and cannot work in the real world. Even the field of science is being politituted by myths of global warming and polititutional funding of politically motivated projects (such as research into powering automobiles with swamp gas and cow flatulence).
The root cause of polititution, whether in or out of government, is politics. Politics is basically the practice of lying to cover up stealing and then lying about it. Politics is practiced by people we call politicians. Politicians are inveterate liars, and they avoid getting tripped up in their lies by simply denying they said what you heard them say last week. So you should never believe what a politician says, and you should always keep your hand on your wallet when you’re talking to one.
(The perceptive reader will have noticed the similarity between the neologism “polititution” and the word prostitution. There is a wide dissimilarity of meaning between the two words however, the difference being that prostitutes get paid for getting screwed while politicians get paid for screwing someone else.)
While politicians are hardly rare in the private sector, they abound in the public sector, and most of the polititution we experience comes from our own government. But we have a solution to government polititution – a 224 year old solution. It’s called the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution – and particularly the first ten Amendments to the Constitution – ratified in 1791, was written specifically to prevent polititution. All we have to do is enforce it on the government, all of whom took an oath to support and defend that Constitution.
But of course politicians have been known to lie.
