The right is right not because it's not left but because it's not wrong. I know that sounds like hyperparanoid braggadocio, but let me explain.
Right thinking people think in facts, not ideologies. Ideologies are wishful thinking about the way you'd like reality to be; facts are observations about the way reality is. If you think in facts, you're always right; if you think in ideologies, you're wrong more often than not. And I know this is news to the left, but facts are fixed and immutable. They don't ever change, and they cannot be changed by leftist propaganda or by leftist legislation.
Right thinking people say, "Socialism won't work in human societies because humans are too individualistic to give up their personal freedoms for the common good." Left thinking people say," The answer to that is to suppress individualism in the population so that they will be happy to surrender their self interest for the common interest." Right thinking people say, "What you're suggesting is turning back billions of years of evolution and reducing human incentivation to that of an ant, and if you don't know that that won't work either, you're worse off than I thought." Left thinking people say, "You right thinking people are always standing in the way of progress." Right thinking people respond, "Hey, I just stand and watch - and maybe giggle a little - as you guys bust your heads against reality."
The left's fascination with government is particularly amusing. Left thinking people are deluded that the government is a cross between their fairy godmother and Santa Claus. Right thinking people, of course, know that all governments are by nature incompetent and corrupt. That's just a fact. Example: the government couldn't even run a covert operation to manufacture bogus firearms trafficking data (Fast and Furious) without it ending in total disaster. Example: the government couldn't run a criminal operation to illegally arm Syrian rebels without it ending in disaster (Benghazi). Example: the NSA, CIA, and FBI together couldn't identify and track the Boston Marathon bombers even with help from the Russians!
Right thinking people try to follow the laws of nature to avoid mistakes, and when they do make a mistake, they find out why so they don't do it again. Left thinking people are incapable of learning. Since their ideologies are more important to them than facts, they keep making the same mistakes over and over. "Hey, we hate guns so let's ban them in New York City." Gun related crime in New York City skyrockets. "Hey, let's try it in DC." Gun related crime in DC skyrockets. "Wow, we're making progress here. Let's try Chicago." Gun related crime in Chicago skyrockets. "OK, I think we're onto something here. Let's take the guns away from the whole dang state of Illinois."
Right thinking people are always serene because they live their lives in harmony with reality. Left thinking people are always in panic mode because they are continually trying to repair the effects of butting heads with reality. "Oh! We drew a red line in Syria and they crossed it. Panic, panic! Now we have to attack Syria without Congressional consent. Oh wait. Not a good idea. Panic, panic. Let's try to implicate Congress in this debacle. Oh wait. Panic, panic. Russia says the whole thing is a bad idea. Panic, panic. Let's just drop it and hope nobody noticed."
Left thinking people are not necessarily ignorant of the truth. They're just not good friends with it. In their fervor to impose their misguided agenda on the rest of us, they consider lying to be one of their major tools. Only a left thinking person could have conceived of seizing on a naturally occurring phenomena - solar warming and cooling - and turning it into a political weapon by declaring it to be caused by industrial pollution. Right thinking people, of course, are aware that variations in solar radiation have been going on for at least the last 15,000 years, and they are not impressed - only amused.
It would be a mistake to assume, however, that left thinking people are stupid just because they act stupidly. They don't really care if what they're saying is stupid, so long as it has the desired effect, which is to convince at least some people that their baseless mental maunderings have merit.
Left thinking people are capable of doing a great deal of damage, but since truth is not just another ideology that can be swept under the rug, their efforts must ultimately end in disaster - hopefully only for themselves.
Meanwhile, one must admit that they do provide a source of amusement. If it weren't for left thinking people, in fact, right thinking people wouldn't have anything at all to laugh at.
