As Prime Minister Chamberlain steps off the plane at Heston Aerodrome, he announces to the crowd gathered to greet him, "We regard the agreement signed last night and the Anglo-German Naval Agreement as symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again."
Later in the day, in a speech in front of 10 Downing Street, Chamberlain will declare, "My good friends, for the second time in our history a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honor. I believe it is peace for our time."
Less than a year later, on 1 September 1939, Hitler will invade Poland, touching off World War II.
History, my friends, is about to repeat itself – unless we stop it. The Obama-Kerry "deal" with Iran is a "Munich Agreement." Lurch Kerry has made the same mistake Chamberlain did. They both assumed their opposites at the negotiating table wanted peace. Hitler did not want peace. He wanted European hegemony. He wanted to rebuild Germany to it pre-World War I grandeur and to punish its enemies for the ignominies of Versailles.
The Persian Ayatollahs don't want peace. They want to impose Sharia on their self-designated enemies as they are commanded by the Koran. It is impossible to negotiate peace with someone who wants war, whether it's a Nazi regime bent on vengeful domination of their neighbors or religious fanatics bent on establishing a world-wide caliphate at the cost of infidel blood.
And while Hitler, a product of Judeo-Christian culture, could reasonably be expected to conform to the precepts of that culture, Islam is a culture not only foreign to but antagonistic to Christian culture. And only a fool would expect Muslims to conform to it.
Islam exalts, as a matter of fact, the exact opposite in the principle of Hudaybiyyah, which Yasser Arafat described as "Kiss your enemies hand until you are strong enough to cut it off." In Islam, treachery is a virtue, as exemplified in the life of the Prophet.
In other words, dealing with Muslims is like dealing with snakes. Snakes are primitive creatures whose Silurian brain has never developed the concepts of fairness or decency. Islam actively suppresses those civilized sensibilities in its adherents. And we have a saying in Texas: "You can't negotiate with a rattlesnake."
